Aakash from India went to Northern College in Kirkland Lake, Ontario. He is an Environmental Technician for Waste and Wastewater Systems Operations.

Aakash says I'm the first in my family to move up to the Canada, as well as in the side of north.

Aakash says So, they're all worried about me at the first time, but once everything is settled out, I told my parents that nothing to be worried about, that everything is good here. Got job and I start my schooling, and we have a couple of community or Indian community who are here, so they are really helping in nature.

Aakash walks into the Northern College building and walks through the halls of the building.

Aakash says I search on Google how about this program.

Aakash is driving he pulls up to a lookout overlooking the lake and take a moment to look at the lake.

Aakash says What's the different colleges who offer this same program? And, I pretty much used the Kirkland Lake Northern College, because it's up to the North, and I want to see real Canadian, and I want to feel the real Canadian culture.

Aakash says If you go in any management corner around here in Northern College, they are ready, they to help you at any time.

Aakash says Richard Kallio is my coordinator. He's really helpful in nature and, all the professors is like, excellent. Like, people is awesome here.

Aakash says There is lots of opportunity in a small town.

Aakash says If you know the community and if you know the right person, you don't find any difficulty and you're going to enjoy the real, real Canadian life.
