Strong Township, population 1,341, is located 40 minutes south of North Bay. The community surrounds but does not include the village of Sundridge. It is on Lake Bernard, the world’s largest freshwater lake without an island. This beautiful lake is the township’s most important asset, attracting people year-round for water sports, fishing, skating, snowmobiling and photography. The township is part of the Central Almaguin Economic Development Association.
