Temagami is the most famous of Northern Ontario’s many spectacular wilderness retreats. A well-known tourism area, Temagami has attracted visitors and residents alike for more than 100 years. The area is recognized for its old growth pine forests, the islands and smooth blue waters of Lake Temagami, and bountiful fish and game. Temagami is 30 minutes south of the nearest shopping centre at Temiskaming Shores, and an hour’s drive from North Bay on Highway 11.
